Preferences is the set of program options that you can customise to control Kino's behaviour and defaults. The preferences are currently saved to $HOME/.kinorc if you want to manually edit or remove the file to reset to "factory" defaults. An alternate way to set the configuration file location is to create an environment named "KINO_HOME" that is set to a directory name. Kino then writes its configuration to $KINO_HOME/kinorc . The configuration file is a simple text file editable in any text editor. Feel free to view or edit it. It even contains a number of advanced settings not available through the Preferences dialog window.
